Alright, I’ve just had a heap of curry so there’s only one thing to do – blog. Or, I could go sleep. Really, actually, I should go sleep, but I’m going to do this first.

Someone mentioned this to me the other day, and it has been on my mind a few times since, so I’ll share it. Baaaaaaaaaaaasically, you know how last week there was the US priest who was like, ‘lol, check it out, I’m going to burn this Koran’? Yeah, a retard and a douche, I know.

So then what happens? You get all these people bitching him out. Left, right and centre. Everyone was raining shit on that guy. Which is fine, he was being a retard and a douche.

The point that was made was – Where is everyone when someone of the Islamic faith pulls a retarded and/or douchey manoeuvre? It’s not like it doesn’t happen pretty darn frequently.

Is it because a *insert most religions here?* priest won’t threaten to kill you if/when you do something that insults his/her religion? Is that the element? That stepping on the toes of Islam generally, correct me if I’m wrong, seems to end up with death threats and angry mobs burning flags and/or people injured or killed?

Now, don’t get me wrong, I think most religions are massively retarded, and all are guilty of fucking up the lives of people throughout the history of Man.

And don’t get me wrong, again, I understand that every religion has people who will interpret it word-for-word, and that there are moderates and extremists. I can see that all too well, with the number of fundamentalist Christians in America.

AND DON’T GET ME WRONG, AGAIN AGAIN, I understand that we’re dealing with minorities here. Vocal, angry minorities. But that’s almost damning in itself. If you’re in the majority, you shouldn’t have to fear the minority. You’re not the ones with stupid ideas like GOD HATES FAGS and LOL ANY REPRESENTATION OF MUHAMMED IS A HUGE TERRIBLE SIN.

It just feels like… Moderate Christianity is able to cuss out on fundamentalist/extremist Christianity, but no-one is able to cuss out on fundamentalist/extremist Islam, because then there are death threats, violence and general unpleasantness.

And I don’t feel like that’s right.
